Post-16

Students from Eden progress well into Post-16 education and training, with almost all students going on to take A-Levels or Post-16 courses at either local schools or 6th Form Colleges.

At Eden, we inspire our children to dream big and empower them to forge their unique paths to success regardless of how challenging their educational journey may have been before joining us.

Out of the eleven Year 11 graduates (2019), three are enrolled in Football Academy (Tottenham, West Ham and Bournemouth) and the remaining eight students have gone on to further education institutions.

The Eden School provides a comprehensive package of impartial careers-advice and guidance, work experience, inspirational experiences, along with business and career-focused workshops throughout years 7 – 11 to help inspire and inform our students about their future employment options and/or entrepreneurial opportunities and help them make the right choices as they graduate from Eden and move forward in their careers and education.

Our alumni are affectionately known as Edenites and below are some of the success stories, which are a testament to the outstanding impact the school has had on the lives of children throughout its existence.

Naomi

Management Consultant & Entrepreneur

As one of the original Edenites, Naomi was educated at The Eden School from Year 4 – Year 10. She successfully completed 10 GCSEs during the summer of 2002 (one year early) achieving A* – C in all subjects.

Naomi went on to attend both college and university where she graduated at the top of her class with a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Naomi is due to begin her PhD in the summer of 2020.

Today, she works as a Management Consultant along with running a Music Industry business. Naomi serves as a school governor and sends her two children to The Eden School.

Joshua

Entrepreneur

Joshua suffered with dyslexia throughout his Primary and Secondary education at Eden. Academically, he struggled to thrive but he excelled in the vocational subject areas, particularly carpentry.  The values instilled at Eden were always mirrored at home, which resulted in Joshua becoming a highly gifted and dignified young man. His respectful manner caught the attention of a wealthy businessman who offered him a job working for him, helping to refurbish the properties in his portfolio. He was particularly impressed with Joshua’s conduct at such a young age.  Today, Joshua runs a successful Carpentry business and continues to support the school.

Russell

Entrepreneur

Russell was a Year 10 student when he was threatened with permanent exclusion from his former local secondary school.  His mother heard about The Eden School and applied for him to transfer. Many months were spent focused on character refinement and building core values such as respect, courtesy and honesty in an attempt to reform his behaviour, however, Eden’s commitment to never give up on any child meant that Russell’s failure was simply not an option. Despite his previous school’s predictions, Russell finished Eden with 8 GCSEs!

Today, Russell is a successful entrepreneur who owns a Car Wash and has partnered with the NHS in employing Mental Health patients who are reintegrating into society.

Leah

Solicitor

Following the successful completion of her secondary education with 14 GCSEs, Leah chose to remain at Eden for Sixth Form where she completed a BTEC and 2 A-Levels.  With a desire to become a Solicitor, Leah attended Herftordshire university where she completed a degree in Law before going on to Law School and completing her LPC. Leah travelled to Ghana where she passed the Bar exam and will soon qualify as a Barrister.

Danielle

Final Year Medical Student

Danielle is another original Edenite who was part of the first cohort of students to enrol in our Sixth Form following the successful completion of her secondary education, during which, she completed 11 GCSEs grade A* – C (81%).

Danielle completed a BTEC Diploma in Health Studies, which set her on course to realise her dream of becoming a medical doctor. Danielle worked as a Health Care Assistant and Trainee Echocardiologist before being accepted into Xavier Medical School (Aruba), where she is currently in her final year of study.

Laverne

Registered Children’s Home Manager

Laverne spent most of her Primary and all of her Secondary education as a student of The Eden School.  She left school at the age of 16 with 16 GCSEs. Laverne went on to attend college with a view to following in her mother’s footsteps and becoming a social worker. Following the completion of her Psychology degree, Laverne went on to realise her dreams and today works as the manager of a children’s home where she dedicates her time to supporting vulnerable young people within the care system.
